Del Mar Dos Coffee Table in Brushed Aluminum, Oval Limited Edition by MTHARU

This listing is for the Del Mar Dos, Oval limited edition series in Brushed Aluminum. Del Mar means from the sea. These designs were created keeping in mind the waves in the ocean and their formal features.

This design started with an exploration into working with glass and the challenge of using it in complex angles. The angled glass planes were reminiscent of ocean waves and hence the name del mar which means ‘from the sea’. Although the design has a new version added to the collection in aluminum, the original creations were made using 12 mm thick glass using a special UV gluing process. Visually, this design takes up no space and items placed in the shelves appear as if they are floating.

A highly architectural design, the Del Mar Dos table in brushed aluminum is lightweight and very robust. It can also be powder coated in any colour. It is good for indoors or outdoors because aluminum does not rust. The difficulty in the production of this piece makes it a special limited edition.

This design can be customized in any material, finish, and dimensions (inquire for custom requests). All MTHARU products are made in house at our fabrication shop in Canada.
